Lately… I’ve realized there’s a difference between being alive and actually being present. 🌧️🖤 I’ve been waking up every day, breathing, smiling when I need to, handling responsibilities, showing up for everybody else… but somewhere along the way, I stopped showing up for me. 🥀 And that’s a hard thing to admit. I think I’ve spent so much time carrying the weight of other people’s opinions, actions, disappointments, and projections that I slowly started questioning myself too. 😔 The way people treated me started making me wonder if maybe I wasn’t enough… talented enough, worthy enough, lovable enough, strong enough. And honestly? That kind of pain doesn’t always happen loudly. Sometimes it happens quietly… little by little… until one day you wake up and barely recognize yourself anymore. 🕯️ I’ve been trying to find my “why” again. ✨ Trying to reconnect with the version of me that used to feel so full of life, passion, confidence, and purpose. The girl who didn’t overthink her worth. The girl who believed in herself without needing validation from anyone else. 🌻 Healing has been strange because outwardly, life keeps moving. People still expect you to function, to perform, to smile, to pour into others… while internally you’re trying to rebuild parts of yourself nobody even realizes are broken. 🫶🏽 But I’m learning that losing yourself doesn’t mean you’re gone forever. Sometimes it just means you’ve been surviving for too long and now it’s time to come home to yourself again. 🤍 So lately, I’ve been giving myself grace.
