🎅🏻RECIPE🎅🏻 ### Cookie Base Ingredients * **1 cup** unsalted butter, softened * **3/4 cup** granulated sugar * **3/4 cup** packed brown sugar * **2** large eggs * **1 tsp** vanilla extract * **3 cups** all-purpose flour * **1 tsp** baking soda * **1/2 tsp** salt * **2 cups** semi-sweet chocolate chips ### Decorating Supplies * **Royal Icing:** White (stiff and flood consistency), red, green, and black. * **Fondant:** Small amounts of red and white. * **Edible Markers:** Black and orange (optional). * **Piping bags** with small round tips. ### Instructions **1. Bake the Base** Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream the butter and sugars until fluffy, then beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the dry ingredients and chocolate chips. Scoop rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes. **Cool completely** before decorating. **2. Creating the Santa Design** * **The Face (Icing):** Use white flood-consistency royal icing to create a large circle on the top half of the cookie.
