How your jade bangles are made 👀 We've been getting a loooot of custom bangle orders lately, so we wanted to take you along to our jade bangle factory so that you can see some of the behind the scenes!! The inside gets sized and smoothed first, then the outside is ground down to adjust thickness, all completely freehand. From there, a curved lapidary wheel shapes that iconic half dome, and then it's polished through multiple grits before finishing on a leather wheel with polishing compound. A quick summary, but in reality a long and detailed process. Jade is one of the most durable gemstones in the world. Beautiful, but it does not make life easy for the people working with it.
